چکیده

The classical problem of self-energy divergence was studied in the framework of Lagrangian formulation of Relativistic Mechanics. The conclusion was made that a revision of mass-energy concept is needed for the development of singularity-free gravitational and electromagnetic field theory. Perspectives of the development of unified field theory are

Relativistic Stellar Models with Quadratic Equation of State

In this paper, we have obtained and presented new relativistic stellar configurations considering an anisotropic fluid distribution with a charge distribution and a gravitational potential Z(x) that depends on an adjustable parameter. The quadratic equation of state based on Feroze and Siddiqui viewpoint is used for the matter distribution. The new solutions can be written in terms of elementar...

Semirelativistic stability of boson stars and tightened bounds on their critical mass

We study a system of self-gravitating identical bosons by means of a semirelativistic Hamiltonian comprising the relativistic kinetic energies of the involved particles and added (instantaneous) Newtonian gravitational pair interaction potentials. With the help of an improved lower bound to the bottom of the spectrum of this Hamiltonian, we are able to enlarge the known region for relativistic ...

White dwarf stars in D dimensions

We determine the mass-radius relation of relativistic white dwarf stars (a self-gravitating degenerate Fermi gas at T = 0) in a D-dimensional universe and study the influence of the dimension of space on the laws of physics when we combine quantum mechanics, special relativity and gravity. We exhibit characteristic dimensions D = 1, D = 2, D = 3, D = 1 2 (3+ √ 17), D = 4, D = 2(1+ √ 2) and show...

The effect of variation of stellar dispersion velocities by the galactic latitude in interpreting gravitational microlensing observations

Our galaxy is a spiral galaxy and its stars are mostly in a thin disk and rotate around the galactic center. The vertical component of the dispersion velocity of stars is a function of the galactic latitude and decreases with increasing it. In the galactic Besancon model, this dependence is ignored and they just consider the dependence of dispersion velocity on the stellar age. Becanson model i...

Problems with the Newton–Schrödinger equations

We examine the origin of the Newton–Schrödinger equations (NSEs) that play an important role in alternative quantum theories (AQT), macroscopic quantum mechanics and gravity-induced decoherence. We show that NSEs for individual particles do not follow from general relativity (GR) plus quantum field theory (QFT). Contrary to what is commonly assumed, the NSEs are not the weak-field (WF), non-rel...
